CANTON A food giveaway will be conducted from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the Church of God Worship Center at 1014 Harrison Ave. SW.

Aquinas memorial Mass is today

LOUISVILLE  St. Thomas Aquinas High School will host a Memorial Mass at 4 p.m. today at the school at 2121 Reno Drive.

The Rev. Thomas Dyer will serve as celebrant.

The St. Thomas Aquinas community gathers annually near the feast day of its patron to remember students, faculty, friends and benefactors who have died. A light reception will follow.

LIFE Ministries concert today

Dinners, cookoffs and bake sales announced

•  The Arlington Avenue Church of God Men’s Group is sponsoring a Swiss steak benefit dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. today, followed by a concert featuring the Stockdale Family Band, at 6:15 p.m.

The church is at 142 Arlington Ave. NW, Canton. Dinners are $ 2 for adults and $ 6 for children under 10.

•  A bake sale by the St. Anthony Catholic Church Miraculous Medal Sodality will follow all Sunday Masses at 1530 11th St. SE, Canton.

•  A chili cookoff and contest will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church at 1000 Third St. NE, Canton. The suggested donation is $ 5 per person.

Association to hold meeting Sunday

CANTON The Interdenominational Ministers’ Association of Stark County and Vicinity will hold its first 2012 meeting at 5 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Foursquare Church at 3990 Faircrest Ave. SW.

The Rev. Walter S. Moss, president, will present the association’s vision for 2012.

Church coupon class is Feb. 11

LOUISVILLE A coupon class will be offered by Louisville Baptist Temple from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 11 at the church at 6565 Columbus Road NE.

The class will cover where to get coupons, how to organize them, coupon terms and online resources.

There is no charge for the event, however, reservations are requested, and there is a $ 5 fee for the workbook and CD of the Power Point presentation available for purchase.

Proceeds from the workbook will benefit the church’s storehouse ministry.

Catholic shrine Philadelphia tour is April 10-12

MASSILLON A bus pilgrimage and tour of Catholic shrines in Philadelphia is scheduled for April 10, 11 and 12.
